Abbey Grove Car Park is a council-operated surface lot providing 80 marked bays including six disabled spaces located near the lower promenade steps. Operating hours are 7 am–10 pm daily; pay-and-display machines accept coins, contactless, and RingGo payments; no overnight parking allowed. The tarmac surface is grooved to manage sea-runoff and inspected quarterly, with pothole repairs completed within 48 hours. LED column lighting ensures visibility for early-morning and evening visitors, and one CCTV camera monitors entry and pedestrian paths. Pedestrian pathways lead directly to the lower promenade (1 minute walk) and to nearby gardens (4 minutes).
