Avalon Court Car Park (SIP) is a private surface lot offering 80 bays for SIP company employees and visitors. Access is controlled by barrier gates via staff RFID badges from 6 am – 8 pm Monday – Friday; outside these hours, the gate remains closed. Tariffs for visitors are £3 for up to 12 hours, payable via signage-displayed QR code and the SIP parking portal. Six accessible bays (3.6 m wide) are positioned closest to the building entrance, featuring drop-kerb access and tactile paving. The concrete surface was resealed in early 2024, and bay markings refreshed mid-2024. LED overhead fixtures dim to 30% when no movement is detected, supplemented by motion-sensing bollard lights along the pedestrian walkway. Twenty-four CCTV cameras with infrared capability monitor entry, exit, and all aisles. A covered bike shelter for 15 cycles and two EV charging points (7 kW each) serve sustainable commuters. Monthly security patrols enforce permit compliance.
