Blatherwicks Yard Car Park is a small, private surfaced lot providing 45 bays for local shopping and the Blatherwicks Yard retail terrace. Operating hours are 6 am–10 pm daily; outside these times, the barrier gates lock automatically. Access is managed by remote-release barrier arms for registered customers; casual users register at an on-site pay station. Four accessible bays (3.6 m wide) are located within 10 m of the covered pedestrian walkway to the retail terrace, each with drop-kerb ramps and tactile paving. The tarmacadam surface was resurfaced in late 2023, and white thermoplastic bay markings were reapplied early 2024. Uniform LED column lighting ensures bright, even coverage after dusk, supplemented by motion-activated bollard lights beside the accessible bays. Six CCTV cameras with infrared capability provide 24/7 surveillance, feeding live footage to a private security desk on-site. A dedicated motorcycle parking zone with ten bays sits near the lot entrance. Perimeter planting includes low-maintenance shrubs to screen adjacent residential properties and aid water runoff. Directional signage inside the lot guides drivers to the exit onto Ravenswood Road. Monthly maintenance includes barrier mechanism checks, litter removal, and pothole patching.
