Free historic site parking for Burrough Hill country trails
Serving the Burrough Hill Iron Age fort and country park, this gravel-and-grass car park accommodates approximately 100 vehicles, including five disabled bays near the information kiosk. Parking is free of charge; no lighting is provided, so visitors are advised to use the site during daylight hours. Pedestrian pathways lead directly to waymarked trails, picnic areas, and archaeological interpretive panels within a one-minute walk. Seasonal signage displays trail maps, wildlife guides, and safety notices. Grounds maintenance includes seasonal grass cutting, occasional pothole repairs, and weekly litter patrols by park rangers.
