Caludon Castle Park Car Park Farren Rd, Coventry CV2 5EJ

Caludon Castle Park Car Park is a large, purpose-built surface facility managed by Coventry City Council, offering 180 bays including twelve disabled spaces located adjacent to the visitor centre entrance. The venue operates sunrise–sunset daily with no charges during off-peak winter months (November–February); seasonal pay-and-display applies March–October, accepting coins, contactless, and RingGo payments. LED high-mast floodlights provide illumination for dawn and dusk visitors, and a network of four CCTV cameras covers all sections of the lot. The asphalt surface is rotated with grass-verge sections to improve drainage, and maintenance crews inspect and repair any wear and tear every quarter. Pedestrian pathways lead directly to the 12th-century castle ruins (2 minutes’ walk), children’s play area (4 minutes), and nature trails (5 minutes). No EV charging points are installed; the nearest public charger is located at Cannon Park Shopping Car Park, 10 minutes away by car. Any large event (e.g., outdoor theatre) triggers deployment of staff to manage overflow to adjacent fields. Biannual re-lining and seasonal leaf clearance maintain a tidy environment.
