Pay-and-display parking in Aldeburgh town centre
Aldeburgh Car Park (IP16 4NR) is a council-owned tarmac facility offering around 50 marked bays including four disabled spaces situated near the pedestrian exit. Operating hours are 7 am–8 pm daily; pay-and-display machines accept coins, contactless, and RingGo; no overnight parking. The tarmac surface is grooved to facilitate drainage and inspected quarterly; potholes are repaired within 48 hours. LED bollard lighting ensures visibility for early-morning and evening visitors, and two CCTV cameras monitor entry, exit, and pedestrian walkways. Pedestrian walkways lead directly to Aldeburgh town centre shops (2 minutes’ walk) and to the seafront promenade (5 minutes). Two Type 2 EV charging bays are available near the entrance on a pay-as-you-go basis. Weekly litter clearance and hedge trimming keep the site tidy.
