ANPR-Controlled Long-Stay Parking for QE Staff & Visitors
Car Park F at Queen Elizabeth Hospital is a dedicated surface lot primarily for hospital staff and long-stay visitors. It features over 300 parking spaces, including 20 reserved bays for blue badge holders adjacent to the main pedestrian walkway leading to the hospitals diagnostic and treatment centres. Access is controlled by ANPR technology, allowing registered vehicles to enter and exit without queuing at barriers. The lot is well-lit and monitored by high-resolution CCTV cameras, with security guards conducting hourly patrols during peak times. Payments are managed via a pay-on-foot system located near the hospitals main entrance, accepting banknotes, coins, and contactless card transactions. EV drivers have access to six rapid charging stations situated near the lots eastern perimeter. The car park is a short three-minute walk from the hospitals main gateway and the Institute of Cancer and Genomic Sciences, making it ideal for researchers, clinicians, and long-term patients. Bicycle lockers and sheltered racks are available for cyclists.
