APCOA-run parking at Aldeburghs Fort Green
Fort Green Car Park, managed by APCOA, is a council-owned surface lot providing 100 marked bays including eight disabled spaces located near the gated entrance. Operating hours are 7 am10 pm daily; pay-and-display machines accept coins, contactless, and RingGo payments; no overnight parking. The tarmac surface is grooved to facilitate drainage and inspected quarterly; potholes are repaired within 48 hours. LED bollard lighting ensures visibility for early-morning and evening visitors, and two CCTV cameras monitor entry, exit, and pedestrian pathways. Pedestrian pathways lead directly to Fort Green promenade (1 minute walk), to Aldeburgh town centre (3 minutes), and to the Jubilee River (5 minutes). Two Type 2 EV charging bays are located near the entrance on a pay-as-you-go basis. Weekly litter clearance and hedge trimming maintain a clean coastal environment.
