Car Park Hill Street| APCOA Hill St, Coventry CV1 4AN

Secure, well-lit multi-storey parking near Coventry University

Be the first to review

Car Park Hill Street (APCOA) is a multi-storey concrete structure providing 300 parking spaces across five decks, with a secure ground-floor controlled entrance. The facility includes 18 accessible bays located directly beside the lifts on each level, signage in braille at lift entrances, and a clearly demarcated one-way system to improve traffic flow. Barrier arms employ ANPR for season-ticket holders and issue ticket stubs for casual users, redeemable at ground-floor pay stations accepting cash, card, and mobile payments. Illumination is provided by high-output LEDs on every level, supplemented by motion-activated wall lights in pedestrian walkways. The structure is covered by 24-hour CCTV, and periodic security patrols are conducted. Stairs and lifts are cleaned daily, and anti-slip paint is applied to all stair nosings. The headroom clearance is 2.1 m throughout. Rate cards are displayed at the entrance and near payment machines, offering short-stay (up to 3 hours), long-stay, and evening tariffs. A pedestrian exit at the rear connects to Coventry University’s Priory Street campus in under five minutes, while the nearby Coventry Transport Museum is a 7-minute walk. Two EV chargers (fast Type 2) are installed on Level 2, maintained by the operator. Signage at the entrance alerts drivers to peak-hour congestion on Hill Street.
