APCOA-run parking at Landguard Fort entrance
Landguard Car Park, managed by APCOA, is a council-owned surface lot serving Landguard Fort and Peninsula. It offers 100 marked bays including eight disabled spaces located near the entrance. Operating hours are 7 am–9 pm daily; pay-and-display machines accept coins, contactless, and RingGo payments; no overnight parking. The tarmac surface is grooved for drainage and inspected quarterly; potholes are repaired within 48 hours. LED bollard lighting ensures visibility for early-morning and evening visitors, and two CCTV cameras monitor entry, exit, and pedestrian routes. Pedestrian pathways lead directly to Landguard Fort (1 minute walk) and to the clifftop walking trail (3 minutes). Four Type 2 EV charging bays are located near the entrance, available on a pay-as-you-go basis. Weekly litter clearance and hedge trimming maintain a tidy coastal site.
