Located off Newthorpe Lane, this council-operated surfaced lot offers 80 bays serving the Newthorpe and Underwood communities. Operating 8 am8 pm daily; free parking. Five accessible bays (3.6 m wide) are situated within 10 m of the pedestrian crossing to the local bus stop, each with drop-kerb ramps and tactile paving. The sealed tarmacadam surface was resurfaced in mid-2023; bay markings refreshed in late 2023. LED column lighting provides glare-free coverage after dusk; two CCTV cameras monitor entry, exit, and aisles. In 2024, a 7 kW EV charging point was installed near the accessible bays, reservable via the Pod Point app. Perimeter shrubs aid runoff and offer a visual screen. Directional signage inside the lot guides drivers to the exit onto Newthorpe Lane. Monthly maintenance includes surface checks, litter clearance, and drainage gully inspections.
