Village parking with EV charging and accessible bays
Selston Car Park is a surfaced council-managed lot offering 80 bays serving Selston village centre. Operating 8 am8 pm MondaySaturday (free Sundays), tariffs are £0.80/hr capped at £5/day via machines (coin, card, contactless) or RingGo. Five accessible bays (3.6 m wide) are within 10 m of the raised pedestrian crossing to local shops, each with drop-kerb ramps and tactile paving. The tarmac was resurfaced in mid-2023; bay markings refreshed in late 2023. LED column lighting provides glare-free coverage after dusk; four CCTV cameras monitor entry, exit, and aisles. A 7 kW EV charging point installed near the accessible bays in 2024 is bookable via the Pod Point app. Perimeter shrubs assist runoff and provide visual screening. Directional signage inside the lot guides drivers to the exit onto High Street. Monthly maintenance includes pay-machine checks, litter clearance, and drainage gully cleaning.
