Car Park Swindon North Star is an APCOA-managed multi-purpose surface tarmac lot on North Star Avenue, serving the North Star Shopping Centre and nearby business park. The facility offers 180 marked bays, including eight Blue Badge spaces near the pedestrian exit, four parent-and-child bays, and two motorcycle bays. It operates 7 am10 pm daily; pay-and-display charges of £1.20 per hour (capped at £5.00 per day) via machines accepting coins and contactless; overnight parking incurs a £10.00 surcharge billed via license plate recognition. LED floodlights provide full illumination until midnight, and CCTV cameras monitor all entries and aisles. Pedestrian exits lead directly to North Star Shopping Centre entrances (50 m), the cinema complex (100 m), and bus interchange. Two 22 kW EV fast chargers are available at £0.35 per kWh, billed via QR code. Seasonal weekend crowds and holiday markets reduce capacity by 30 %; dynamic signage directs overflow to Brunel West Car Park (1 km). Maintenance crews repaint bay lines quarterly, service pay machines monthly, and clear litter daily.
