Xcel Leisure Centre Car Park (duplicate entry) is a free, council-operated surface lot serving Xcel Leisure Centre facilities and adjacent Walton High School sports fields. It offers 200 marked bays including 12 disabled-access spaces located near the main entrance. Operating hours are 6 am10 pm daily; no parking fees or time limits apply except during special events requiring permits. The tarmac surface is grooved to facilitate proper drainage and is inspected monthly; potholes are patched within 48 hours. Four LED high-mast lights provide illumination from 6 am until 11 pm, and three CCTV cameras monitor entry, exit, and pedestrian walkways to ensure safety. Pedestrian walkways lead directly to the leisure centre entrance (1 minute walk), to Walton High School sports pitches (2 minutes), and nearby bus stops on Ashley Park Avenue (4 minutes). Two 22 kW Type 2 EV charging bays are located near the entrance, available to all users on a pay-as-you-go basis. Weekly litter clearance and bi-monthly maintenance keep the area in top condition.
