Xcel Sports Hub Car Park is a free, council-operated surface lot serving the Xcel Leisure Centre, Walton High School sports fields, and adjacent community amenities. It offers 200 marked bays including 12 disabled-access spaces located close to the leisure centre entrance. Operating hours are 6 am–10 pm daily; no parking fees or time limits except when special events require a permit. The tarmac surface is grooved for drainage and inspected monthly, with potholes repaired within 48 hours. Four LED high-mast lights illuminate the lot from 6 am until 11 pm, and three CCTV cameras monitor entry, exit, and pedestrian routes to ensure user safety. Pedestrian walkways lead directly to the leisure centre entrance (1 minute walk), to Walton High School sports pitches (2 minutes), and to local bus stops on Ashley Park Avenue (4 minutes). Two 22 kW Type 2 EV chargers are available near the main entrance, open to all users on a pay-as-you-go basis. Weekly litter clearance and bi-monthly vegetation management maintain a safe, family-friendly environment.
