Co-op Car Park is a private tarmac lot located on Barnsley Road in Ackworth, dedicated to shoppers at the Co-operative Food store. The facility offers 60 marked bays, including four Blue Badge spaces near the store entrance and two parent-and-child bays. Parking is free for up to two hours; a £2.00 charge applies per additional hour, enforced by ANPR cameras; payment is made at the in-store kiosk. LED floodlights provide full illumination until midnight, and CCTV cameras monitor all access points. Pedestrian exits lead directly to the store entrance (0.02 km), local pharmacy (0.1 km), and bus stops on Barnsley Road. Two 22 kW EV fast chargers are available for use at a subsidized rate, billed via QR code. Seasonal holiday shopping periods reduce capacity by 15; signage directs overflow to the adjacent Council-run lot on Town Street (0.4 km). Maintenance crews repaint bay lines quarterly and perform litter clearance weekly.
