Coach Parking is a designated facility managed by Colchester City Council, located off Avro Way near the eastern industrial estate. The lot provides 20 oversized sealed asphalt bays specifically designed to accommodate coaches and minibuses, including two accessible bays with widened spaces and clear markings. Pull-in and pull-through bays allow coaches to enter and exit without reversing, and high-efficiency LED floodlights illuminate all bays from dusk until midnight for driver safety. A dedicated drop-off zone adjacent to the coach bays provides covered shelters for passengers awaiting pick-up. No overnight stays are permitted; signage indicates maximum stay of four hours. One CCTV camera monitors the entrance area for security, and an on-site intercom links drivers to council offices in case of issues. Covered information boards display local attraction maps, bus and coach regulations, and nearby amenity locations within a two-minute walk, including FastTrack Coach Services to London and Cambridge. Quarterly maintenance includes line repainting, pothole repairs, and litter collection to maintain a professional environment for tour operators.
