Cowey Sale Open Space Car Park is a free council-operated unpaved gravel lot serving Shepperton Riverside and nearby Thames Path access. It provides 40 marked bays including three disabled-access spaces adjacent to the main pedestrian entrance. Operating hours are sunrisesunset daily; no parking fees or time limits. The gravel surface is graded quarterly for drainage, with ruts filled within 48 hours. No lighting is installed to maintain the riverside ambiance; one CCTV camera monitors entry during daylight hours. Pedestrian routes lead directly to the riverside promenade (1 minute walk) and to local bus stops on Walton Lane (4 minutes). No EV charging is available; nearest public charger is at Grovelands Car Park, a 10-minute drive away. Biweekly litter clearance and seasonal hedge trimming preserve the natural riverside setting.
