Croft Road Car Park is a council-operated surfaced lot offering 80 bays for local residents and shoppers. Operating hours are 8 am8 pm MondaySaturday (free Sundays). Tariffs are £0.80/hr, capped at £5/day, payable via machines (coin, card, contactless) or RingGo. Four accessible bays (3.6 m wide) are positioned within 10 m of the pedestrian crossing to the shopping parade, each with drop-kerb access and tactile paving. The asphalt was resurfaced in mid-2023, and thermoplastic bay markings refreshed late 2023. LED column lighting spaced at 10 m intervals ensures coverage after dusk; two CCTV cameras monitor entry, exit, and aisles. Perimeter planter beds with native grasses assist stormwater runoff and enhance the streetscape. Directional signage inside the lot directs drivers to the exit onto Croft Road. Quarterly maintenance includes pay-machine servicing, litter clearance, and drainage gully cleaning.
