Cromwell Street – Car Park 38 Cromwell St, Coventry CV6 5EY

Cromwell Street Car Park is a small surface lot serving the residential and light industrial zones of northern Coventry. With approximately 80 spaces—including 6 disabled bays—it is typically used by local workers and residents who rent monthly permits; casual parking is permitted subject to availability. Entry is via a barrier on Cromwell Street controlled by a permit-card reader; visitors obtain a ticket from an intercom at the gate. The lot is open 24 hours but has no staffed presence; regular patrols by an outsourced security firm occur three times nightly. Illumination is provided by four tall LED columns, and basic CCTV monitors the entrance. Pedestrian egress leads to residential terraces and a small parade of shops, all within a 2-minute walk. The asphalt surface is maintained every two years, and minor potholes are patched within days of reporting. No EV charging is available; the nearest public charging point is located on nearby Holmsdale Road. Permit rates are discounted for long-term users, with casual rates charged at £1.50 per hour. Boundary fencing is checked monthly, and line markings are refreshed annually.
