Restricted-access highways yardsecure vehicle parking and equipment storage.
Crown Highways Top Yard is a private operational compound and parking area used by Burntwood & District Councils highways maintenance division. The compacted-gravel and concrete-surfaced yard provides parking for approximately 25 service vehicles, vans, and small plant machinery. Access is controlled via a lockable barrier, and only authorized council personnel may enter between 5 am and 8 pm Monday through Friday; no public parking is allowed. The site is partially lit by high-mounted LED floodlights, which activate at dusk, and a network of CCTV cameras monitors the perimeter to deter theft of tools and equipment. A small wash-down station is located at the southern end of the yard, allowing vehicles to be hosed off after road maintenance duties. Adjacent storage bays house salt bags and traffic cones, while a pedestrian gate links directly to Vayro Close for quick entry on foot.
