Direct-access parking at Diss railway station
Diss Station Car Park is a Network Rail-operated tarmac facility offering approximately 200 marked bays including ten disabled-access spaces located near the station entrance. Entry is unrestricted 24/7; pay-and-display machines accept coins, contactless, and RingGo payments for hourly and daily rates; no overnight parking is permitted. The tarmac surface is grooved to manage drainage and inspected monthly; potholes are repaired within 48 hours. LED column lighting provides illumination for pre-dawn commuters and evening travelers, and four CCTV cameras monitor all entry, exit, and pedestrian pathways to the platforms. Pedestrian walkways lead directly to Diss railway station platforms (1 minute walk) and to the town centre (7 minutes). Two 22 kW Type 2 EV charging bays are located near the entrance, available via pay-as-you-go. Weekly litter clearance and hedge trimming maintain a tidy commuter facility.
