Downs Road Car Park in Dundry is a small rural facility managed by North Somerset Council, offering 25 sealed gravel bays beside the A38. One accessible bay is located near the pedestrian gate leading to Dundry Hills walking trails. Parking is free of charge, but overnight stays are prohibited to prevent campervan misuse. Solar-powered LED bollard lights illuminate pathways from dusk until midnight, and one CCTV camera monitors the entrance. Pedestrian access leads directly to official footpaths ascending to Dundry Beacon, where panoramic views of Bristol and the Somerset Levels can be enjoyed. Quarterly maintenance includes gravel topping, line repainting, and litter collection to keep the site presentable for hikers and local residents.
