Scenic riverside parking with pay-and-display and EV charging
Dumsey Meadow Pay and Display Car Park is a council-operated surface lot serving the River Thames towpath and Chertsey Recreation Ground. It provides approximately 80 marked bays including six disabled-access spaces closest to the river walkway entrance. Operating hours are 8 am–8 pm daily; pay-and-display machines accept coins, contactless, and RingGo; maximum stay of 4 hours. The tarmac surface is inspected quarterly, with drainage grates cleaned weekly and potholes filled within 48 hours. Three LED high-mast lights illuminate the lot from dusk until 9 pm, and two CCTV cameras monitor entry and pedestrian routes. Pedestrian pathways lead directly to the Thames towpath (1 minute walk) and to nearby bus stops on Chertsey Bridge Road (5 minutes). Two 22 kW Type 2 EV charging bays are located adjacent to the payment machines, available via pay-as-you-go. Weekly litter clearance and bi-monthly hedge trimming maintain a tidy riverside facility.
