Festival Square Car Park is a council-operated tarmac surface lot located in Oswestry’s Festival Square, adjacent to the town’s entertainment venue. The facility offers 100 marked bays, including six Blue Badge spaces near the main entrance and two motorcycle bays. It operates 8 am to 11 pm daily; pay-and-display charges of £1.20 per hour (capped at £5.00 per day) apply Monday–Saturday 8 am–6 pm via machines accepting coins and contactless. Outside charging hours, parking is free, although overnight stays are prohibited. LED floodlights provide full illumination until closing, and CCTV cameras cover all aisles. Pedestrian exits lead directly to Festival Square Theatre (0.05 km), surrounding cafés (0.1 km), and the Oswestry Visitor Centre (0.2 km). Two 7 kW EV chargers are located at the east end of the lot, billed via a QR code. Seasonal concerts and fairs reduce capacity by 30; temporary signage directs drivers to the Short Stay Car Park (0.3 km). Weekly maintenance includes litter clearance and bay repainting.
