Free member parking (paid for non-members) with accessible bays, lit trails, and direct woodland access.
Fordham Hall Woodland Trust Car Park is a privately managed facility operated in partnership with Woodland Trust, providing access to the ancient oak and beech woodlands of Fordham Hall. The lot offers 50 sealed gravel bays, including three accessible spaces nearest the reinforced path leading into the woodland trails. Parking is free of charge for Woodland Trust members upon presentation of a valid membership card; non-members park at £2 per day via pay-and-display machines accepting coins and contactless cards. Solar-powered LED bollard lights illuminate the pedestrian route from dusk until 8:00 pm for safe return after seasonal guided walks. No CCTV is installed, but Woodland Trust rangers conduct regular patrols. Covered information boards at the entrance display trail maps, tree identification guides, and seasonal event schedules such as bird surveys and fungi forays. Pedestrian pathways provide direct access to ancient coppice areas, picnic glades, and boardwalks within a one-minute walk. Quarterly maintenance includes gravel replenishment, line repainting of bay markers, and litter clearance to maintain a pristine, natural environment.
