Forestry England parking with accessible bays, member benefits, and illuminated trail access at East Harptree.
The Forestry England East Harptree Car Park is a woodland facility providing access to the Mendip Hills AONB. Operated by Forestry England, it offers 80 sealed gravel bays including four accessible bays located nearest to the main footpath entrance. Pay-and-display machines accept coins and contactless payments; tariffs are £2 per day for non-members, while Forestry England members park for free. Solar-powered LED bollards illuminate pathways from dusk until 10 pm, and four CCTV cameras focus on the entrance area. Covered information boards display trail maps, wildlife guidance, and safety notices. Seasonal maintenance includes gravel replenishment twice yearly, line repainting annually, and litter clearance fortnightly to preserve a pristine woodland environment.
