Grahams Orchard Shopper Car Park is a council-operated retail facility adjacent to Grahams Orchard shopping centre. The lot offers 180 sealed tarmac bays, including eight accessible bays located near the covered pedestrian bridge to the main mall entrance. Parking is free for up to three hours; beyond this, a tariff of £1 per hour applies, capped at £8 for a 24-hour period. Pay-on-foot machines accept coins, notes, and contactless payments, and ANPR cameras enforce the free parking period. The site is illuminated by LED floodlights from dusk until midnight, and a network of five CCTV cameras monitors all corners of the car park. Pedestrian links provide level access to over 30 retail units, a family-friendly dining area, and a bus stop servicing routes to Barnsley town centre every 20 minutes. Quarterly maintenance includes line repainting, litter collection, and surface inspections to ensure user safety.
