Your Gateway to the Great Sand Dunes
This is the main visitor parking area for Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. Located at the end of the park’s main road, this large lot provides direct access to the Medano Creek play area and the main dune field, where visitors can hike and sandboard. This is the primary staging area for day-use visitors exploring the tallest sand dunes in North America. A National Park entrance fee is required.
