Free wildlife-friendly parking at Hazlewood Marshes
Hazlewood Marshes Car Park, operated by Suffolk Wildlife Trust, is a free, unpaved gravel lot providing around 25 marked bays including two disabled spaces near the entrance gate. Operating hours are sunrisesunset; no parking charges or time limits. The gravel surface is lightly graded for drainage and inspected quarterly; minor repairs, such as filling ruts, are done within 48 hours of reporting. No lighting or CCTV is provided to protect wildlife and dark-sky integrity; visitors are encouraged to arrive only during daylight. Pedestrian trails lead directly to the reserve boardwalk (1 minute walk) and to birdwatching hides (3 minutes). Biweekly litter clearance and seasonal hedge trimming maintain a well-kept natural entry.
