High Street Car Park in Lambourn is a well-maintained surface lot strategically situated off High Street, offering approximately 80 marked spaces, including four accessible bays located closest to the pedestrian entrance for those with reduced mobility. Operating daily from 8 am to 8 pm, the site uses a modern pay-and-display system with machines that accept coins, contactless credit/debit cards, and mobile payment apps; tariffs are set to encourage short visits, with a capped daily fee for longer stays. The car park surface is smooth tarmac with clearly painted bay lines and delineated pedestrian walkways. Security is provided by 24/7 CCTV coverage, supplemented by regular patrols by a private security firm during peak hours to deter anti-social behavior. LED lighting throughout the lot ensures safe access during dimmer conditions, and the perimeter is lined with shrubbery to create a buffer from the High Street traffic. A designated pedestrian crossing leads directly to Lambourns village shops, cafés, and post office within a one-minute walk. Local bus services on High Street provide hourly links to Hungerford and Newbury. Although no EV charging points are currently available on-site, public rapid-charging stations can be found at the Lambourn Community Centre car park a five-minute walk away. Cyclists benefit from a covered rack accommodating up to ten bicycles.
