Free wildlife-friendly parking for Hollesley Marshes
Hollesley Marshes Car Park, managed by Suffolk Wildlife Trust, is a free, unpaved surface lot providing approximately 30 marked bays, including two designated disabled spaces adjacent to the entrance gate. The gravel-and-grass surface is graded for drainage and inspected quarterly; any potholes or washouts are filled within 48 hours of reporting. No lighting is installed to preserve the dark-sky environment for wildlife; visitors are advised to arrive during daylight hours only. A single CCTV camera near the entrance monitors for unauthorized overnight use. Pedestrian paths lead directly to the reserves visitor boardwalk (1 minute walk) and to interpretation boards detailing local flora and fauna. The car park operates from dawn till dusk daily and is cleared of litter weekly by Trust staff. No EV charging is available; nearest public charger is at Woodbridge Station Car Park, a 15-minute drive away.
