Jordangate Multi-Storey Car Park is a Council-operated five-level concrete structure located on Jordangate, serving Macclesfield town centre’s retail and office district. The facility offers 500 marked bays across five levels, including 20 Blue Badge spaces on Level 0 near the pedestrian exit, six parent-and-child bays on Level 1, and four motorcycle bays in the ground-floor vestibule. It operates 24 hours; pay-and-display charges are £2.00 per hour (capped at £8.00 per day) via pay machines accepting coins, contactless, or smartphone apps. LED floodlights provide full illumination on all levels until 2 am, and 24-hour CCTV covers all floors and ramps. Pedestrian exits on Level 0 lead directly to Harvest Road shops (50 m), the Silk FM radio station (100 m), and Silk Street multi-storey lift access to Levels 1–5. Four 22 kW EV chargers are installed on Level 1, available at £0.35 per kWh, billed via QR code. Seasonal public events (concerts at nearby town hall) can reduce effective capacity by 10%; digital signage displays real-time availability and directs overflow to Grosvenor Multi-Storey Car Park (0.5 km). Maintenance crews repaint bay lines and repair lighting systems quarterly, clean floors biweekly, and clear litter daily.
