Historic castle parking with easy garden access
Kenilworth Castle Car Park is a council-operated surface lot serving Kenilworth Castle and Elizabethan Garden. It offers 300 marked bays including 15 disabled spaces located near the visitor centre entrance. Operating hours are 9 am5 pm daily; pay-and-display machines accept coins, contactless, and RingGo; parking is free for Historic England members upon validation. The gravel-and-asphalt surface is reinforced to handle coach and car traffic, with quarterly inspections and patch repairs within 48 hours. LED bollard lighting provides minimal illumination for early-morning and late-evening visitors, and four CCTV cameras monitor entry, exit, and pedestrian pathways. Pedestrian pathways lead directly to the visitor centre (1 minute walk), to the castle gatehouse (3 minutes), and to the Elizabethan Garden entrance (5 minutes). Two Type 2 EV charging bays are located near the pay machines, available on a pay-as-you-go basis. Weekly litter clearance and hedge trimming maintain a well-kept environment.
