Kensington Road Car Park is a secure, surface-level facility located within a short walking distance of Reading town center. The lot provides approximately 60 marked bays, including four accessible spaces positioned near the pedestrian gate. Operating daily from 7 am to 10 pm, the car park uses a pay-and-display system with machines accepting coins, contactless cards, and app-based payments. The surface is smooth tarmac with clearly painted bay lines and delineated pedestrian walkways. Security is maintained through 24/7 CCTV surveillance and regular evening patrols by private security staff. LED lighting ensures safe access during early morning and evening hours. A dedicated zebra crossing leads pedestrians to nearby shops on Oxford Road and the local bus stop, which offers frequent services into Reading Station and the Royal Berkshire Hospital. Although there are no EV charging points within the lot, public charging stations can be found at the nearby Recreation Road Car Park a five-minute walk away. Covered cycle racks accommodating eight bicycles promote mixed-mode travel.
