Free rural parking with accessible bays, lit paths, and direct access to Keston Fishponds and church.
Keston Fishponds Car Park is a Bromley Counciloperated facility offering access to the historic Keston Church and surrounding woodlands. The lot comprises 60 sealed gravel bays, including four accessible spaces nearest the main pedestrian path leading to the church and fishponds. Parking is free year-round; overnight stays are discouraged by signage. Solar-powered LED bollard lights line pedestrian walkways from dusk until 8:00 pm to ensure safety for evening church services and countryside walks. No CCTV is installed, but parish wardens patrol periodically. Covered information boards display countryside trail maps, bus timetables for services to Bromley and Orpington, and parish notices. Pedestrian pathways link directly to the churchyard, fishpond viewing platforms, and picnic areas within a one-minute walk. Quarterly maintenance includes gravel replenishment, line repainting of bay markers, and litter removal to maintain a serene, heritage-rich environment.
