Your Trailhead for the Appalachian Trail at Keys Gap
This is a well-known parking area providing direct access to the Appalachian Trail (AT). Located on the border between West Virginia and Virginia, Keys Gap is a popular spot for day-hikers and section-hikers. The lot can fill up quickly, especially on weekends. It serves as a key access point for the challenging “roller coaster” section of the AT to the north.
