Pay-and-display parking for Landguard Peninsula access
Landguard Peninsula Parking is a council-operated surface lot providing 150 marked bays including ten disabled spaces located near the visitor centre entrance. Operating hours are 7 am–9 pm daily; pay-and-display machines accept coins, contactless, and RingGo payments; no overnight parking. The gravel-and-asphalt surface is reinforced for heavy traffic and inspected quarterly; potholes are repaired within 48 hours. LED bollard lighting ensures visibility for early-morning and evening visitors, and three CCTV cameras monitor entry, exit, and pedestrian pathways. Pedestrian routes lead directly to Landguard Fort (1 minute walk), to Saltmarsh trails (2 minutes), and to the Landguard Visitors Centre (3 minutes). Four Type 2 EV charging bays are located near the entrance, available for pay-as-you-go. Weekly litter clearance and hedge trimming maintain a well-presented coastal environment.
