Free neighborhood parking with accessible bays, lit paths, and direct access to Lion Green.
Lion Green Road Car Park is a Tandridge District Councilmanaged surface lot serving residential areas and local amenities in Coulsdon. The lot offers 60 sealed asphalt bays, including three accessible spaces positioned adjacent to the pedestrian pathway leading to Lion Green Recreation Ground. Parking is free of charge for up to four hours; pay-and-display machines accept coins and contactless cards for stays beyond four hours at £0.80 per hour (daily cap £4). High-efficiency LED bollard lights line pedestrian routes from dusk until 9:00 pm to provide safe evening access. No CCTV is installed; however, local wardens conduct periodic patrols. Covered information boards at the entrance display local bus timetables for services to Croydon and Redhill, community notices, and recreation ground event schedules. Pedestrian pathways link directly to the recreation ground, primary school, and local shops within a two-minute walk. Monthly maintenance includes line repainting, pothole repairs, and litter clearance to maintain a neat neighborhood facility.
