Free customer parking at M&S with ANPR enforcement and EV charging
Marks & Spencer Car Park is a private tarmac surface lot reserved for M&S customers only. It offers approximately 180 marked bays including ten disabled-access spaces located immediately adjacent to the store entrance. Operating hours run from 7 am to 10 pm daily; parking is free for customers spending over £5 in-storeANPR cameras enforce this policy. The tarmac surface is grooved to handle heavy footfall drainage and inspected monthly, with potholes repaired within 24 hours. LED bollard lighting provides illumination for both shoppers and delivery vehicles, and six CCTV cameras monitor all entry ramps, aisles, and pedestrian pathways. Pedestrian access leads directly to the M&S entrance (1 minute walk), to the Buttermarket shopping centre (3 minutes), and to local bus stops on Northgate Street (4 minutes). Two 22 kW Type 2 EV charging bays are located near the trolley bay, available to customers on a pay-as-you-go basis. Daily litter clearance and weekly sweeping maintain a welcoming retail environment.
