Pay-and-display parking in Melton village centre
Melton Car Park is a council-owned tarmac surface lot providing approximately 70 marked bays including six disabled spaces located near the central pedestrian exit. Operating hours are 7 am–8 pm daily; pay-and-display machines accept coins, contactless, and RingGo payments; no overnight parking. The tarmac surface is grooved to improve drainage and inspected quarterly; potholes are repaired within 48 hours. LED column lighting ensures visibility during early-morning and evening hours, and two CCTV cameras monitor entry, exit, and pedestrian pathways. Pedestrian routes lead directly to Melton village centre shops (1 minute walk) and to Melton Primary School (3 minutes). Two Type 2 EV charging bays are available near the entrance on a pay-as-you-go basis. Weekly litter clearance and hedge trimming maintain a well-kept environment.
