Mill Lane Car Park is a Tendring District Council–managed facility serving Walton-on-the-Naze town centre and historic High Street. The lot offers 70 sealed asphalt bays, including four accessible spaces positioned adjacent to the pedestrian pathway leading to the town hall and library. Pay-and-display machines accept coins and contactless cards; tariffs are £1 per hour with a daily cap of £5 during summer (April–September), and free off-peak. High-efficiency LED lampposts illuminate the lot from dusk until 11:00 pm, ensuring safe evening parking. Three CCTV cameras monitor entrances, exits, and accessible bays for security throughout the year. Covered information boards at the entrance display local event schedules, bus timetables for the 75 and 76 services to Clacton and Colchester, and heritage trail maps. Pedestrian pathways link directly to the town hall, library, and High Street shops within a two-minute walk. Quarterly maintenance includes line repainting, pothole repairs, and litter clearance to maintain a tidy environment for residents and visitors.
