Scenic NT parking with accessible bays, member benefits, and direct access to Dedham village and river trails.
Mill Lane Dedham Car Park is a National Trust-managed facility located off Mill Lane, providing 100 sealed tarmac bays for visitors to Dedham Vale and the historic Dedham village. Six accessible spaces are situated nearest the pedestrian walkway leading to the Dedham Art and Craft studios. Parking is free for National Trust members; non-members pay £6 per day at pay-and-display machines accepting coins, contactless cards, and pay-by-phone. Solar-powered LED bollard lights line pedestrian routes from dusk until 9 pm, ensuring safe egress. A network of three CCTV cameras monitors entrances and accessible bays for visitor security. Covered information kiosks at the entrance display walking trail maps, heritage site information, and local event schedules. Pedestrian pathways connect directly to the River Stour towpath and the Constable Country Art Gallery within a three-minute walk. Monthly maintenance includes line repainting, pothole repairs, and litter clearance to preserve the parkland setting.
