Free M&S customer parking with ANPR and EV charging
M&S Walton on Thames Carpark is a private, free surface lot reserved exclusively for Marks & Spencer customers. It provides 150 marked bays including 8 disabled-access spaces positioned closest to the store entrance. Access is controlled by ANPR cameras enforcing a minimum spend of £5 to validate free parking; overstay incurs a charge via pay-by-phone. The tarmac surface is inspected monthly, with drainage channels cleared within 48 hours of blockage. LED bollard lighting ensures illumination from 7 am10 pm, and two CCTV cameras monitor entry, exit, and pedestrian walkways. Pedestrian access leads directly to the M&S main entrance (1 minute walk) and to Walton-on-Thames High Street (3 minutes). Two 22 kW Type 2 EV charging bays, managed by M&S, are located near the trolley bays and available on a pay-as-you-go basis. Daily sweeping and weekly litter collection maintain a presentable retail environment.
