Secure multilevel Quayside parking with ANPR and accessible bays
NCP Newcastle Quayside is a six-level concrete deck offering 450 covered spaces in the heart of the Quayside district. Entry and exit are controlled via ANPR cameras, enabling seamless access for registered account holders and pay-on-foot functionality for casual users. Tariffs are £7 for a full day (6 am midnight), with an evening rate of £4 (after 6 pm), payable by cash, card, contactless, or via the NCP app. Each level features ten accessible bays positioned adjacent to the lift lobbies, marked with extra width (3.6 m) and drop-kerb access for wheelchair users; tactile paving guides visually impaired pedestrians from bay to exit. The structure has anti-slip epoxy coating on all floors, low-glare LED lighting throughout, and 24-hour CCTV coverage with motion detection. Pedestrian exits on Ground and Level 1 lead directly to the Millennium Bridge and Baltic Centre walkway via raised zebra crossings. Regular structural inspections occur quarterly, and line markings were refreshed in early 2025.
