NCP North Street is a six-level concrete car park offering 450 spaces in Newcastles commercial district. It features barrier-free ANPR entry, pay-on-foot machines at each pedestrian exit (tariffs £7 flat for daytime; £4 after 6 pm), and accepts cash, card, and contactless transactions. Sixty accessible bays (10 per level) are located adjacent to each lift core; lifts are regularly serviced and provide level access to all floors. LED ceiling panels ensure bright, even lighting without glare, and 24-hour CCTV with motion-detection covers all aisles, ramps, and stairwells. The facility is open 24/7, with security patrols between 10 pm and 6 am. Designed with anti-slip surfacing on ramps and apex strips on stair treads, the structure meets safety regulations, and features large wayfinding signage directing pedestrians to Eldon Square, Grey Street, and Monument Metro Station. In late 2024, rapid EV charging bays (two 22 kW units) were installed on Level 1, reserved for NCP app users. The surface deck was overlaid in 2023 to seal minor cracks, and line markings were refreshed early 2025.
