Scenic park parking with accessible bays, free short-stay, and direct access to Nowton Country Park facilities.
Nowton Park Car Park is a public facility operated by West Suffolk Council, providing 120 sealed gravel bays for visitors to Nowton Country Park. Five accessible bays are located nearest the main visitor center entrance, offering level access to the café, play area, and waymarked woodland trails. Parking is free of charge but limited to a four-hour maximum stay, enforced by patrolling wardens. Solar-powered LED bollard lights illuminate primary pedestrian routes from dusk until 9 pm, and two CCTV cameras monitor the entrance area. Covered information boards at the entrance display trail maps, local wildlife guides, and park event schedules. Monthly maintenance includes gravel replenishment, line repainting of bay markers, and litter collection to maintain a visitor-friendly environment. Pedestrian pathways lead directly to the visitor center and children’s play area within a two-minute walk.
