NTU Clarendon Staff Car Park Dice, Language Centre, St Nottingham NG1 4FY

Permit-only staff parking with EV charging and secure CCTV

Be the first to review

Nottingham Trent University’s Clarendon Staff Car Park is a secure, permit-only surface lot located off Bath Street, adjacent to the Dice Building and Language Centre. The facility provides 150 bays on a sealed tarmacadam surface treated with epoxy line markings, refreshed in early 2024. Access is granted via RFID barrier gates operating from 6 am to 10 pm Monday–Friday; weekends and bank holidays are closed to vehicular entry. Twenty accessible bays (3.6 m wide) are positioned within 15 m of the covered pedestrian walkway leading to the Language Centre entrance; tactile paving and drop-kerb ramps ensure barrier-free access for users with reduced mobility. Uniform LED column lighting with motion sensors was installed in late 2023, providing bright, energy-efficient illumination after dusk with dimming when no motion is detected. Twenty-four-hour CCTV cameras with license-plate capture monitor all entry, exit, and internal aisles, feeding live footage to the NTU security control room. In early 2025, four 22 kW EV charging points were added at the southern end of the lot, accessible to staff via the NTU parking portal; corresponding signage and ground-painted bay markings designate these spaces. Covered cycle racks for up to 40 bicycles are located adjacent to the accessible bays, encouraging sustainable travel. Perimeter drainage trenches along the eastern boundary mitigate surface water during heavy rain, while monthly inspections ensure barrier, lighting, and CCTV systems remain fully operational.
