Nottingham Trent University’s Gill Street Staff Car Park is a permit-only facility providing 200 bays on a sealed tarmac surface off Gill Street. Access is via barrier gates using staff-issued RFID permits; casual staff may request day passes online. Operating hours are 6 am – 10 pm Monday – Friday, closed weekends. Forty accessible bays (3.6 m wide) are located near the central pedestrian exit linking to the Business School building, featuring drop-kerb ramps and tactile paving. Uniform LED lighting ensures safety after dusk, and 24-hour CCTV with license plate capture monitors all entry, exit, and aisles. Two rapid EV chargers (22 kW each) were installed in early 2025 for staff use, reserved via the NTU parking portal. The surface was resurfaced in mid-2024, with line markings refreshed late 2024. Bicycle racks for 50 cycles and covered shelters are positioned near the accessible bays. Monthly inspections include checking drainage gullies and repairing minor surface cracks.
