The GEC Recreation Ground Car Park is a council-operated surface lot serving the GEC sports fields and community facilities. It provides 100 marked bays including eight accessible spaces located near the pedestrian gate. Operating hours are sunrisesunset; no charges apply. LED bollard lighting provides minimal illumination for early-morning and late-evening sports events, and one CCTV camera monitors the entrance and pedestrian path. The gravel-and-asphalt surface is lightly graded to withstand heavy use, with quarterly inspections and patch repairs within 72 hours of reporting. Pedestrian access leads to the recreation ground entrance (1-minute walk) and to adjacent play areas (2 minutes). No EV charging stations are installed; the nearest public charger is at Sainsburys Car Park, a 7-minute drive away. Biweekly litter clearance and hedge trimming maintain site tidiness.
